Position the generator on a flat surface, start the engine for several minutes to raise the oil temperature, and then shut down the engine.
Remove the oil filling bolt (i.e., the oil level gauge).
(3) Place an oil pan beneath the engine, remove the oil drain screw, and avoid letting the engine oil drain from the crankcase.
(4) Inspect the oil drain screw, seal ring, and rubber ring. Replace immediately if damaged.
(5) Reinstall and tighten the oil drain screw.
Fill the engine oil to just above the oil level indicator grid.
Note: (1) The generator should have its oil changed immediately after the first 20 hours of use (or after one month).
(2) It is mandatory to change the engine oil after every 100 hours of use (or every six months). In harsh conditions, more frequent changes are required, using an oil with a viscosity of SAE 10W30 and an API grade of SG, SH, SJ or
Higher Cleanliness Oil
