How Diesel Generator Sets Save and Control Fuel Consumption
Diesel Generator Set Fuel Purification: Diesel contains various minerals and impurities. If not settled and filtered, it can affect the operation of the plunger and nozzle, leading to uneven fuel supply and poor atomization, resulting in a decrease in power and increased fuel consumption for small diesel generator sets. Therefore, it is recommended to let the diesel settle for a period of time to allow impurities to settle, and to filter the funnel with a filter during refueling. Additionally, it is advisable to regularly clean or replace the filter to achieve purification.
2. Eliminate Carbon Deposits. During operation, small diesel generator sets may have polymers adhere to the valves, valve seats, fuel injectors, and piston tops. These carbon deposits can increase fuel consumption and should be removed promptly.
3. Avoid overloading. Small diesel generators emit black smoke when overloaded, which is due to unburned fuel emissions. If small diesel generators frequently emit black smoke, it will increase fuel consumption and also shorten the lifespan of the components.
