Dazai Power's Gao Yijie explains: Why Do Generators Need Regular Oil Changes?
1. Failure to timely replace engine oil: It can lead to increased oil pressure. Not replacing the oil in a timely manner can cause the oil to thicken, reduce its flowability, and clog the oil passages, resulting in higher oil pressure. Elevated oil pressure can decrease the effectiveness of the fuel filter, accumulate carbon in the cylinders, and shorten the engine's lifespan.
2、Neglecting to Replace Generator Oil in a Timely Manner:Excess sludge can be caused. Unburned gases, moisture, and acids in the combustion chamber enter the fuel tank, mixing with metal powder to form sludge. Failing to regularly change the oil only leads to more oil sludge accumulation, which can clog oil passages and filters, exacerbating component wear.
3、Generator failure due to failure to change oil in a timely manner:Excessive wear on various components of diesel generators can be accelerated. Failure to timely replace engine oil will degrade its performance, leading to wear on parts such as cylinders and pistons. Repairing and replacing parts will reduce the efficiency of the unit, impacting various production activities.
4、Neglecting to Replace Generator Oil in a Timely Manner:Low engine oil pressure can be caused by irregular oil changes, which lead to reduced oil quantity, poor oil cleanliness, or overly thin oil, all of which result in decreased oil pressure. Low oil pressure can cause dry friction between mechanical components, which can severely lead to equipment damage.
