Screw jack, a common equipment for mechanical components, often experiences a heating phenomenon during operation, which can have corresponding effects on the usage of the screw jack. Many customers inquire about how to measure the temperature rise of a screw jack during operation. Below, our technical staff will guide you on how to address this issue.
通常, during the operation of screw jacks, the temperature rise of each component can be measured using the resistance method and the thermometer method.
Resistance Method: As the temperature rises, the resistance value of metal conductors also increases correspondingly. Within the corresponding temperature range, there is a corresponding functional relationship between the resistance value and temperature. By applying this principle, the temperature of a winding can be determined by measuring its resistance value, which is known as resistance temperature measurement. When using the resistance method, first, measure the cold-state direct current resistance (RI) of the winding with a Wheatstone bridge and record the ambient temperature (room temperature) at that time. After the reducer has been running for a period of time, measure the hot-state direct current resistance (Rθ). By substituting it into the formula, the temperature of the winding (θ2) can be calculated.
Thermometer Method: This is a simple direct temperature measurement technique, commonly using alcohol thermometers for the measurement. During the measurement, the thermometer can be placed closely against the surface of the bearing or stator iron core. Read the temperature value displayed. For measuring winding temperature, insert the thermometer into the hoist lifting screw hole, where the measured temperature is the winding surface temperature, plus the temperature difference of the hot spot (for Class B insulation, 10°C). This gives the hot spot temperature of the reducer winding. The temperature rise of the reducer is obtained by subtracting the ambient temperature from the hoist temperature.
