【User Guide】Dehumidifiers: So Many Functions, Here's How to Use Them!

    2024-08-28

DehumidifierExtensively utilized in most southern regions of our country, our products are particularly fitted for environments requiring specific levels of humidity control, such as homes, offices, archives, libraries, research rooms, computer rooms, warehouses, and storage areas.

Recently, it's been raining cats and dogs with high humidity, making it impossible to dry clothes and the floors remain damp. Many of you, after hearing recommendations from friends, decided to purchase a Nalanda dehumidifier. However, many of you, upon your first use, were impressed with the numerous features of the Nalanda dehumidifier and consulted the customer service ladies.

    Received machinery.

Many of you have told us that you received the Nalanda Dehumidifier, and it feels absolutely high-end. The entire machine is solid, with high-quality materials and meticulous details – simple, precise, and grand. Nalanda has been a reputable brand for years, and they certainly deliver on reliability!

Upon powering on the machine, check the panel.

A mechanical engineer once praised the panel design of the Nalanda Dehumidifier. The button layout is very reasonable and user-friendly; there's nothing to complain about. Moreover, the Nalanda Dehumidifier is highly intelligent, with one-touch operation for a very humanized experience.

Check the current humidity level and adjust the humidity value.

After turning on the dehumidifier, you can see the humidity value on the display panel. How do you correctly adjust it?

Proper Humidity Setting: When adjusting the dehumidifier's humidity setting, users should consider their personal comfort level with moisture, the number of people in the space, and the size of the area. Typically, during rest or sleep when there's less activity, the room's relative humidity should be around 60%RH to ensure comfort.

    Four: Activate Timer Mode

Low humidity settings not only make people feel dry, but also due to the significant difference between indoor and outdoor humidity, moisture spreads quickly, causing the compressor to frequently turn on and off, shortening the lifespan of the dehumidifier and consuming more energy.

When setting the humidity level, select one of the following two modes:

Rainy Mode, default humidity setting is 40%.

Sunny Mode, default humidity setting is 60%.

If you want to quickly reduce the indoor humidity level, activate the dryer mode, which defaults to a humidity setting of 20%. If there are people in the room, it's better to use the timer function.

    Five: Activate the Dry Cycle

When it comes to moisture control, Nalanda's dehumidifier with drying function really surprised me. It uses PTC drying technology, killing bacteria while keeping clothes safe and dry; the included drying rack is also easy to install and can be used for storing clothes on a regular basis, so you no longer have to worry about dampness.

After two days of observation, it's quite energy-efficient, which is greatly related to its intelligent operation mode.

Although the machine is rather heavy, the bottom-mounted casters make it easy to move. During the day, it can be placed beneath the clothesline to dry laundry, and at night, it's simply rolled into the room. Despite nearly daily rain, the comforter never feels damp — this is the first time I've had such an experience.

Section 6: Water Tanks and Drainage

Dehumidifiers typically run 24/7 year-round. During the spring in the south (the plum rain season), a household dehumidifier with a 1P rating should be emptied twice daily. Once in the morning before work and once in the afternoon after work. During other times, emptying it once in the morning is sufficient. The unit will alert you when it's full, making it very convenient.

The attached pipe requires connection to a floor drain (basin) for draining excess moisture to the outside. Simply adjust the humidity switch on the dehumidifier, and it will automatically shut off once the indoor air humidity meets the device's operating conditions. It will then turn on again at the appropriate time.

Seven: Negative Ion and Activated Carbon Purification Function

The Nalanda Dehumidifier is equipped with a "negative ion generator" and an activated carbon filter function. While dehumidifying, it also produces negative ions to purify indoor air. Should there be a fault, the component can be removed without affecting the main unit's operation. This is because the primary function of the dehumidifier is to remove moisture.

    About Dehumidifier Maintenance

Nalanda dehumidifiers typically come with a one-year full machine warranty and a three-year compressor warranty. But to avoid the hassle of replacements, folks, remember to maintain them regularly, please.

The dehumidifier's working environment should be clean and dust-free. It's essential to keep the evaporator clean, regularly wash the air filter mesh, and maintain the cleanliness of the entire machine's outer shell. Additionally, periodically add a small amount of lubricating oil to the bearings on both ends of the fan motor to ensure the dehumidifier operates in optimal condition, thereby extending the machine's lifespan.
