Heavy calcium powder

Heavy calcium carbonate, commonly referred to as heavy calcium, is a white powder produced from limestone through the processing of a lime stone mill. Its primary component is CaCO3. Heavy calcium boasts high brightness, good purity, soft color tone, and stable chemical composition. It is commonly used as a filler in various industries such as artificial tiles, rubber, plastics, papermaking, coatings, paints, inks, cables, construction materials, food, textiles, feed, toothpaste, etc., to increase product volume and reduce production costs. In rubber applications, it can increase the volume of rubber, improve processability, act as a semi-reinforcement or reinforcement, and adjust the hardness of rubber.

Applications of Heavy Calcium Powder:

Due to its smaller specific surface area and oil absorption value, it is easier to mix with resins.

②Less volume and higher density of filling material for the same filling quantity.

③Different raw materials have varying types and concentrations of impurities, resulting in inconsistent product colors. Light calcium carbonate, however, can be adjusted for particle crystal shape according to different application requirements, offering good versatility; it can increase the volume of the product with the same amount of filler due to its large settling volume or low packing density; the uniformity of color differences in the product is improved due to fewer impurities; and the mechanical properties of the filling material are better with the same amount of filler due to its smaller original particle size. However, its larger specific surface area and oil absorption value make it more resistant to mixing with resins (more difficult to blend).
