Epoxy coal tar anti-corrosion paint is composed of two main components: epoxy and coal tar. It is a two-component paint system (A: epoxy; B: hardener), featuring excellent adhesion, toughness, resistance to moisture, water, and chemical media. It has the property of preventing various ions from passing through the paint film and expands and contracts at the same rate as the coated object. The film never peels off or cracks. Thickness: 0.5-1.0mm. Epoxy coal tar is a cost-effective anti-corrosion method. Engineering tests show that when coated with epoxy coal tar and supplemented with cathodic protection, there is essentially no corrosion on oil and gas pipelines after twenty years of use. The components consist of an epoxy coal tar primer and topcoat, both primarily made of epoxy resin and coal tar, with the addition of various rust-proof pigments, insulating fillers, toughening agents, leveling agents, thinners, and anti-settling agents. Group B is a modified amine-type hardener or a hardener-based material, mixed with pigments and fillers. This product is supplied with A and B components matched at the time of sale, mixed in the specified proportions during application, and used up within the designated time frame.


Epoxy coal tar enamel coatings are categorized into general-grade anticorrosion, reinforced-grade anticorrosion (one fabric and three coatings), and extra-reinforced-grade anticorrosion (two fabrics and four coatings). Application Range: Used for buried steel oil pipelines, water pipelines, sewage pipelines, and other pipeline anticorrosion. With the development of science and technology, various organic and inorganic high-efficiency anticorrosion coatings have emerged, leading to their increasingly widespread application in pipeline anticorrosion construction, and continuous improvement in various anticorrosion technologies. During the application of epoxy coal tar enamel, attention must be given to weather and temperature changes; it is not advisable to apply during rain, fog, snow, or when relative humidity exceeds 80%. The epoxy coal tar enamel anticorrosion coating is composed of modified epoxy resin, polyamide resin, coal tar, colorants and fillers, and additives. They are also suitable for the anti-corrosion treatment of various steel structures, docks, ships, sluices, gas storage tanks, equipment in oil refining and chemical plants, as well as concrete structures like pipe networks, sewage pools, roof waterproofing layers, bathrooms, and basements for water and leakage prevention. The application of epoxy coal tar is quite extensive, and its performance after drying is excellent. However, it is prone to deterioration due to high temperatures or humidity during storage and use, so it must be kept away from heat sources or open flames before drying and should not be exposed to humid environments. Their application in underground oil pipelines is widespread, such as epoxy coal tar coated steel pipes, which are pipeline facilities primarily consisting of steel pipes and epoxy coal tar coatings. They offer good performance, effectively transporting relevant media in underground environments with high efficiency and excellent resistance to various forms of corrosion. They are a commonly used type of underground oil pipeline. The appearance of epoxy coal tar coated steel pipes: the primer consists of iron red for the A component and black for the B component, while the topcoat is all black.
