Cast iron sluice gates are control facilities used for closing and opening water discharge channels. As an important part of hydraulic structures, they can intercept water flow, control water levels, regulate flow rates, discharge sediments and floating debris, etc. How to prevent corrosion during use?
The sandblasting operation uses a low pressure of less than 0.5 MPa and is equipped with a 6m³/Sr air compressor. When using a mobile air compressor, its exhaust volume is 6m³/s, with a rated pressure of 0.8 MPa and a power of 37 kW. The compressed air used for sandblasting must be treated through a cooling device and an oil-water separator to ensure dry, oil-free air. The oil-water separator must be cleaned regularly. The nozzle size for sandblasting is 6-8mm, and it is advisable to replace the nozzle when the orifice diameter increases by 25% due to wear during use. Metal surfaces that have been sandblasted and passed inspection should be kept clean before transportation or corrosion prevention work, to avoid contamination with water or oil污. Direct hand contact with the metal surface should be avoided to prevent localized rust. Metal surfaces contaminated with oil must be treated with the appropriate organic solvent. Using the compressed air from the spray gun as the power source, driven by the propulsion device, zinc wire passes through the nozzle, melts under the heat of an oxygen-acetylene flame, and is atomized into particles by the compressed air, then喷射 onto the workpiece to form a thermal zinc spray protective layer.
