Selecting a submersible mixer is a complex task; the correctness of the selection directly affects the normal operation of the equipment. The principle of selection should be to ensure the mixer performs full mixing functions within an appropriate volume, usually determined by flow rate.

Usage:

QJB TypeDiving AgitatorIt can be divided into two major series: mixed agitation and low-speed plug flow.

The Mixed Series Mixers are suitable for wastewater treatment plants and industrial processes where mixing of suspensions is required.

Low-speed Turbulator Series Mixers are suitable for industrial and urban wastewater treatment plant aeration tanks, generating strong water currents with low tangential flow, which can be used to create water currents for circulation, nitrification, denitrification, and phosphorus removal stages.

FQJB Type Buoyant FloatDiving Agitator

The FQJB-type Submerged Impeller Mixer is a modified version of the Submerged Impeller Mixer, made by adding a stainless steel buoyant float. The specific model selection is implemented according to the QJB-type Submerged Impeller Mixer.

Application Range:

The blender should be capable of operating continuously under the following conditions:

Medium temperature not to exceed 40°C.

2. The medium's pH value is between 5~9.

3. Liquid density not exceeding 1150 kg/m³.

4. Long-term dive operations, with dive depths generally not exceeding 20 meters.

Key Points of Attention:

Submersible mixers must be fully submerged in water during operation; they cannot be used in environments with flammable, explosive, or highly corrosive liquids. The steel expansion bolts must be securely fastened according to specifications, and the cables must be tightly and securely fastened after installation.

All propellers of the diving flow controllers are made of polyurethane, equipped with a helical gear box reducer.

Performance Features:

1. Compact structure, easy operation and maintenance, convenient installation and inspection, and long service life.

2. The impeller features a rational hydraulic design structure, with swept-back blades that have self-cleaning capabilities, preventing debris entanglement and blockage.

3. When used in conjunction with an aeration system, it significantly reduces energy consumption, improves oxygenation levels, and effectively prevents sedimentation.

4. Motor winding with F-grade insulation, IP68 protection rating, equipped with NSK/SKF bearings. The motor can be optionally fitted with a condensation prevention device. It utilizes an over-temperature protection system for enhanced reliability.

5. Two mechanical seals; the seals are made of silicon carbide for sealing, with fluoroelastomer as the rubber material.

Installation System & Dimensions

Submersible mixers can be installed in various ways. Below are several of the more common methods, with others also available. These installations allow for quick assembly and disassembly of the submersible mixers without draining the pond's wastewater, ensuring both speed and safety.

FQJB Type Floating Buoy Submerged Agitator Installation Site

Submersible mixers can also be installed with a buoyant float system. The FQJB type buoyant submersible mixer is a modified version of the standard submersible mixer, featuring a stainless steel float. It is primarily suitable for locations where a solid, level pool bottom is unavailable and it is impractical to set up bridge structures. It is specifically designed for wastewater treatment plants and is used for treatment without discharge into modifications or rivers.

Selection Considerations:

Selecting the right submersible mixer is a complex task, as its correctness directly affects the normal operation of the equipment. The principle of selection is to ensure that the mixer performs its mixing function fully within an appropriate volume, usually determined by flow rate. According to the different process requirements of wastewater treatment plants, the mixer flow rate should be maintained between 0.15~0.3 m/s. A flow rate below 0.15 m/s will not achieve the desired push-mixing effect, while a flow rate above 0.3 m/s may affect the process efficiency and lead to waste. Therefore, prior to selection, it is crucial to determine the application site of the submersible mixer, such as: wastewater pond, sludge pond, biochemical pond; followed by the medium parameters, such as: suspended solids content, viscosity, temperature, pH value; as well as the pond shape and water depth.

The required matching power for a mixer is determined by the volume, the density of the mixing liquid, and the depth of mixing, with one or more mixers used depending on the specific circumstances.

Blended Mixing Type:

1. Determine the sludge correction factor for the medium to be mixed based on Figure B1 or Table B1.

2. Determine the mixing tank type correction coefficient based on Figure B2 or Table B2.

3. Multiply the power consumption required for each cubic meter of fresh water by 5W, then by the sludge correction factor, and finally by the pool type correction factor to obtain the actual power consumption required for each cubic meter of the mixture to be blended. Multiply this by the volume of the mixture to be blended, and you get the total power required for blending the entire pool's mixture.

Low-speed Turbulence Generator

1. Determine the mixing tank type correction factor based on Figure B1 or Table B1.

2. Determine the sludge correction factor for the medium to be agitated based on Figure B2 or Table B2.

3. Based on the initial flow velocity y of the stirring medium, determine the specific work consumed per unit flow by referring to Figure B3.

4. Calculate the flow rate of the mixer by multiplying the initial flow velocity of the stirring medium (y) by the cross-sectional area formed by the impeller rotation.

5. Multiply the flow rate of the mixer by the power consumption per unit flow, then further multiply by the sludge correction factor and the pond type correction factor to obtain the total power required for the entire pond medium.

Operating Conditions:

Compared to traditional vertical mixers, vertical mixers have a limited service range. For large pools with a high water volume and a wide aspect ratio, multiple vertical mixers are required to achieve effective mixing. However, the QJB type submersible mixer typically needs only 1-2 units to provide the desired mixing effect. For open-air large pools, vertical mixers require a bridge structure for installation, whereas submersible mixers do not.

The QJB type submersible mixer's advantage lies in its ability to produce various flow directions. Due to the different installation positions of the mixer, multiple flow patterns can be achieved, creating better flow effects in the pool and eliminating dead spots. The required matching power for the submersible mixer is determined by factors such as the pool volume, medium density, viscosity, and depth of the mixing medium. Based on specific conditions, one or more mixers should be selected.
