Cosmetic glass bottles are coated with a layer of paint, where the undercoat solvent evaporates and bursts through the topcoat, releasing it. The topcoat leaves small holes due to its inability to level and seal. Solvent evaporates quickly: surface dry time is generally over 10 minutes, usually around 15 minutes. Overcoating too thickly in one go: the surface dries too fast, causing internal gases to accumulate, burst through the topcoat, and release. Reduce thickness, increase the number of coats.
