Plaster of Paris, also known as half-hydrated gypsum, has the chemical formula 2CaSO4·H2O, is acidic with a pH of 5.6-5.8, and dissolves in water (unlike raw gypsum, which does not). It is primarily made from natural gypsum hemihydrate crystals, which are ground into 300 mesh powder after being subjected to a simulated firing at 850 degrees Celsius. Premium white degree: 80-88%.
Desulfurized gypsum and phosphoric gypsum powder are both recycled gypsum, with lower whiteness. Anhydrite gypsum is mainly used in leveling mortar for construction (good for filling holes), leveling putty, plastering gypsum, gypsum adhesive powder (quick-dry powder), decorative gypsum boards, and gypsum strips. Silicate cement, concrete, and brick additive with rapid setting and high plasticity (setting time 5-10 minutes). If the wall surface is uneven, adding some anhydrite gypsum and gypsum retardant to make leveling putty will yield good results.
