(1) Common brass is a copper-zinc binary alloy. Due to its good plasticity, it is suitable for manufacturing sheets, bars, wires, tubes, and deep-drawn parts, such as condenser tubes, heat exchanger tubes, and mechanical and electrical components. Brass with an average copper content of 62% and 59% can also be cast, known as casting brass.

(2) Special brass is formed by adding elements like aluminum, silicon, manganese, lead, and tin to copper-zinc alloys to achieve higher strength, corrosion resistance, and excellent casting properties. This includes types such as lead brass, tin brass, aluminum brass, silicon brass, and manganese brass.
