Machining centers have a significant impact on operations. The introduction of machining centers directly transformed the work methods in the corresponding factories. Of course, the changes brought about by machining centers to factory operations are mostly positive. For factories aiming to expand and strengthen, introducing machining center machinery is essential. Previously, the machining centers used in our industry were all imported from abroad. However, with the development of technology in our country, the sales of Chinese-made technology are improving, and the types of machining centers are becoming more diverse. Citizen CNC machines are one of the Chinese-made machining center equipment. In this article, I will introduce the faults of Citizen CNC machines and their corresponding solutions.
(1) Citizen's heart shaft operates at high speed for extended periods, causing overheating. Solution: Adjust the Citizen's heart shaft bearing clearance, reduce the spindle speed moderately, allowing the temperature to decrease gradually, or apply lubricant to the bearings to minimize wear.
(2) The spindle bearing has an excessively tight clearance, leading to overheating. Adjusting the spindle bearing clearance typically involves loosening it slightly; however, care must be taken not to over-loosen it, as it could affect the normal operation of the equipment.
(3) The main shaft bearing may rust and wear due to overheating, which can occur from prolonged fatigue use or exposure to moisture. Extended storage without use can also lead to bearing rust. Solution: Clean the bearing, adjust the lubricant, or replace the rusty bearings.
(4) Citizen Machine Tool Base Warping. Improper installation can cause the Citizen machine tool base to warp, leading to tight or jammed movement of the large slider. Solution: Loosen the foot bolts to restore the base, reinstall, and ensure the bed feet are level with the worktable surface.
