July 12, 2022, the Jiangsu Provincial Environmental Protection Department issued the "Notice on Conducting Specialized Inspection of Key Tasks in the Deepening of VOCs Management" (see the attached image), outlining a series of requirements to address the current irregularities in VOCs treatment. Among them, the department explicitly specified and required the standard usage of activated carbon for treating VOCs gases, with particle activated carbon having an iodine adsorption value of no less than 800mg/g and honeycomb activated carbon with a value of no less than 650mg/g. Technically speaking, Yiqing Activated Carbon can meet and even exceed these technical standards in the production of such activated carbon. While emphasizing the iodine adsorption value of honeycomb activated carbon, Yiqing Activated Carbon also incorporates the concept of unit weight per gram to ensure that the weight of products with the same iodine adsorption value is significantly higher than the industry standard. With the same volume of honeycomb activated carbon, the raw materials used are nearly three times more than the industry average, despite the increased costs. However, in actual use by customers, the performance and lifespan of the honeycomb activated carbon are guaranteed. Currently, Yiqing Activated Carbon in Jiangsu is mainly promoting honeycomb activated carbon with iodine adsorption values of 650-800mg/g or more, actively producing and stockpiling to meet customer demand.
