Drying is a separation process that removes liquid from materials. It is an efficient and safe technique utilized by the pharmaceutical, chemical, and food industries. The drying process typically yields dry, pure powders, and it also serves as a useful preservation method, with the food industry employing it to extend the shelf life of products.

The KVRB vertical high-performance mixer with a heating jacket features a large heating surface. Optionally, a heated spindle and screw can be added for enhanced heat transfer, ensuring rapid and uniform heating of materials. Through vacuum, the boiling point of solvents is reduced, significantly improving drying efficiency. During the drying process, the materials inside the equipment are continuously in a homogenized state, with no temperature or humidity gradients in the material bed at any time.

Several industrial methods are known for drying materials. KPH specializes in developing highly innovative KVRB vertical high-performance mixer vacuum drying equipment. During the vacuum drying process, the material being dried is under low pressure. The low pressure lowers the boiling point, allowing water or solvents to evaporate even at low temperatures. Therefore, vacuum drying is essential for the processing of heat-sensitive substances.

To ensure optimal drying effects, the material to be dried is heated using heat transfer mediums (steam, hot water, thermal oil, etc.), with the heat being introduced into the system through the walls of the heat container and a heated stirrer. This process is known as indirect drying. Additionally, strong mixing can be utilized to shorten the drying process time and prevent surface contamination. The conical design at the bottom of the container ensures complete emptying of the working vessel, and the integrated nozzle facilitates self-cleaning.

KPH offers a range of KVRB vertical high-performance mixers and dryers that achieve gentle and uniform mixing effects, along with ample material discharge.
