Wood Grain Paint Wood grain paint is composed of wood grain base paint and wood grain top coat. The base paint determines the overall color, while the top coat, in conjunction with specialized wood grain tools, forms the wood grain effect.
I. Product Features: This product is a water-based artistic paint with excellent performance, odorless, non-toxic, and non-polluting. It features strong film adhesion, flame retardancy, resistance to abrasion, and acid and alkali resistance, and does not fade. It boasts strong adhesion, resistance to abrasion, and minimal fading. Different tools and techniques can create various wood grain patterns with seamless, crack-free, and skin-free finishes. Colors can be freely mixed and matched. II. Substrate Preparation:
1) Concrete Surface:
a. The base must have sufficient strength, free from loosening, peeling, scaling, or powdering, and should be clean with no residue or floating dust.
b. The base must be fully dried, with moisture content <10%.
c. The base's pH value must be <10.
d. Maintain the flatness of the base. 2) Steel structure surface 1. Steel structure or metal surface treatment method: First, sandpaper should be used for sanding, followed by applying an epoxy resin or gray epoxy zinc phosphate primer. 2. Each stage of base surface treatment must be sanded with sandpaper to maintain a flat surface. Wood grain paint, also known as wood grain artistic coating, employs professional techniques to handcraft an imitation wood effect that closely mimics nature through color coordination with the wood grain paint. It can be freely switched for different settings, widely used on metal materials such as steel structures, square steel, stainless steel, galvanized pipes, aluminum channels, and more. It's also suitable for presenting wood grain effects on pergolas, pavilions, railings, garages, billboards, windows, doors, and concrete wall surfaces! It can maintain its appearance for 8-15 years outdoors without fading, peeling, or cracking! Wood grain paint is crack-resistant, peel-proof, and fade-resistant. In plain English, "as long as the base is fine and doesn't come off, the wood grain paint won't detach." Causes of detachment in concrete wood grain paint application include: 1. Poor handling of concrete pouring and demolding, leading to internal seepage; 2. Only one coat of putty was applied or the putty lacks waterproofing, the correct procedure is to apply two coats of putty, let them dry, and then sand it smooth with fine sandpaper; 3. No sealing primer was applied. The sealing primer, also known as alkali-resistant primer, is used to prevent moisture, dampness, and alkali reversal. Many people assume that wood grain paint comes with a primer, so they skip this step, but that's actually a big mistake. Improper application of wood grain paint on concrete walls has caused peeling; how should it be repaired? Remove the peeling sections entirely, sand them smooth with coarse sandpaper, brush off the dust, and let it dry; then reapply putty, sand it again, and repaint with wood grain paint. Wood grain paint, when used on concrete, transforms the original lime plaster walls into a textured surface resembling wood, not just for decorative purposes but also for protecting the internal structure. It offers numerous advantages, such as excellent UV absorption properties, thermal insulation capabilities, environmental friendliness without volatile organic compounds, and excellent waterproofing. It can present various artistic wood grain patterns, which are random, fine, seamless, non-peeling, and non-cracking; easy to wipe and clean, with a refined film, durable color, and a smooth, glossy finish. Wood grain paint is a water-based coating, and the colored primer, wood grain topcoat, and high-gloss finish of the wood grain paint all require dilution with water (dilution should not exceed 20%, and water should be added gradually to prevent over-dilution and waste paint.). Attention should also be given to the application details of wood grain paint, such as maintaining a working environment temperature of 5~40℃ and a relative humidity of less than 85%; construction should be halted during adverse weather conditions. It is also advisable to avoid direct wind and sunlight exposure during the application process to allow for natural drying. The surface dry time for the wood grain primer is 2 hours, with complete drying taking 12 hours; the topcoat should only be applied after the primer is fully dry. Nowadays, with the emphasis on ecological protection, many activities harmful to the environment are strictly prohibited. For ecological considerations, many people no longer use solid wood as the basic material for decoration. The railing and pergolas commonly seen in the market with original "wood grain patterns" are actually painted with wood grain paint. Although the process may seem simple, there are many details to consider. Each step of the wood grain paint application must be strictly adhered to. Since wood grain paint is often used on metal materials like stainless steel, galvanized pipes, aluminum alloy, and iron pipes, rust-proof treatment should be applied to the base material surface. For materials prone to rust, the surface should be sanded to remove rust spots and debris, and the weld joints should be treated. Afterward, epoxy zinc-rich primer can be applied. Wood grain paint is a water-based artistic coating with superior performance, odorless, non-toxic, and non-polluting. It features strong adhesion, flame retardancy, wear resistance, and colorfastness. The patterns are versatile, fine, seamless, and free from peeling or cracking. The base and face colors can be freely matched, and the designs can be arbitrarily created. I. Product Features Low VOC, lead-free, mercury-free, and free of heavy metal compounds, eco-friendly. 2. Adds depth and texture to plain walls. 3. Continuously innovate and cater to diverse personal needs. 4. Excellent adhesion, good scrub resistance. Section II: Application Range of Wood Grain Paint Applicable for exterior coating on office buildings, hotels, residential complexes, factories, and other outer walls. Also suitable for the wood grain appearance coating on steel structures such as grape arbor above garages, pergolas, iron frames, and pavilions. Section 3: Suitable Substrate Suitable for various cement mortar plastering surfaces, concrete surfaces, gypsum boards, wood, fiberboards, iron pipes, galvanized pipes, aluminum alloy and other metal components. IV. Wood Grain Paint Manufacturer's Reminders: Store in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area, avoiding direct sunlight, rain, and high temperatures. Shelf life: 18 months (when sealed). Maintain good air circulation during construction; keep the paint away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Please use protective gear such as masks and gloves when in use. In case of eye contamination or discomfort, rinse with clean water or consult a clinic. 5 Keep out of reach of children. Dispose of waste liquids in accordance with local environmental regulations.
