Stainless Steel Sculpture

Stainless steel sculptures are a common type of urban sculpture. The material is resistant to corrosion from weak corrosive media such as air, steam, and water, as well as chemical erosion from acids, alkalis, and salts. Due to the numerous advantages of stainless steel sculptures, many urban sculptures are made from this material. The production process of stainless steel sculptures includes: 1) creating clay sculptures, 2) enlarging the sketches to scale, 3) casting the clay models into hard material molds, 4) forging the stainless steel sculptures according to the model, 5) sanding the sculptures multiple times, and 6) applying fluocarbon paint to the surface.

Thickness:

Stainless steel sculptures typically have a thickness of 1.5mm, 2.0mm, or 3.0mm unless otherwise specified. Thicker sheets are harder to shape and more expensive.

Installation:

Generally, it is welded for durability, meaning the sculpture's frame is welded to the pre-buried iron on the base, with rebar welded beneath the pre-buried iron. The length of the rebar and the size of the pre-buried iron are determined based on the sculpture's dimensions. For aesthetic reasons, it is common to affix marble or granite slabs to the base after the sculpture is installed.

Design:

Stainless steel sculptures come in various shapes, including geometric, round, and abstract designs, offering rich content and strong malleability.
