Common Waterproofing Solutions for Basement Leaks
Cracks have developed in the basement's concrete structure due to factors such as building settlement, construction defects, inadequate compaction, and temperature changes, leading to water leakage in certain areas. Based on the on-site construction conditions, it has been decided to use high molecular weight grouting materials and perform leak sealing by means of high-pressure grouting. This method can effectively address the issue of water leakage in the basement.
Basement Leak Grouting Sealing Method
1) A 70mm deep and 60mm wide "V" shaped joint is drilled at construction joints, flushed with water, and the grout passage and tube are fixed.
2) The PE foam strips in the grouting channel are secured with quick堵剂. When fixing the PE foam strips, a grouting pipe is buried approximately every 50 cm. The grouting pipes use 10-13mm pressure-resistant rubber hoses, which serve both as water intake pipes and grouting pipes.

Repair Plan Steps:
1. Cleaning: Inspect leaky areas, chisel out waterproofing materials and surface sediments from the concrete basement, and determine the location and spacing of grouting holes. Clear the construction area required, ensuring the surface is clean and moist.
2. Mixing Grouting Mixture: Select the appropriate grouting material based on the site conditions, follow the instructions for mixing ratios, ensure control over the material's strength and curing time, and then drill the boreholes after mixing is complete.
3. Drilling: Drill holes along both sides of the cracks. The drill bit diameter should be one size smaller than the planned grouting holes. The drilling depth should be sufficient to penetrate the original filling material, but the original rubber waterstop must not be damaged. The spacing between the holes should be approximately 200-300 millimeters.
4. Installing Grouting Nozzles (commonly referred to as "injection"): Mounting the grouting nozzle inside the drilled hole, ensuring there are no gaps or leaks between the nozzle and the hole.
5. Washing: Inject clean water into the nozzle, observe the outlet, and clean the dust inside the seam.
6. Sealing: Seal the surface of water leakage cracks during washing and sewing to prevent leakage.
7. Grouting: Inject grouting fluid into the grouting holes using a high-pressure grouting machine. The sequence is from bottom to top, and the plane can start from one end, grouting each single hole individually. 8. Nozzle Removal: After grouting is complete and there are no leaks confirmed, the nozzle can be removed or knocked off, and the solidified overflow and grouting leaks can be cleaned.
Seal: Repair and seal the grout holes with waterproof coating.
