Metal Arch Roof - How to Install a Skylight
Due to the original structure of metal arch roofs being already quite spacious compared to other fixed structures, it is rare for people to install skylights above the arch roofs. Of course, there is an exception. Installing skylights above arch roofs differs from creating light wells on the roof. The former is for ventilation, while the latter is for illumination.
There was a need to add an arched roof above the grain storage facility to prevent leakage issues with the existing roof. However, since the original roof of the grain storage was already arched, our additional arched roof was not as noticeable in height, differing by only two meters. The leaders of the grain reserve requested that we install some skylights on the arched roof to meet the cooling needs above.
After the above operation, if the structure seems not strong enough, you can weld angle iron or rectangular tube at the C-shaped steel as a support. This way, the skylight for the arched roof is installed.
