Styrofoam Sheets – also known as foam boards or EPS boards, are white objects made from expandable polystyrene beads containing volatile liquid blowing agents. After pre-expanding through heating, they are molded into shape in molds. They feature a fine closed-cell structure and are primarily used for building wall insulation, roof insulation, composite panel insulation, thermal insulation for cold storage, air conditioning, vehicles, ships, floor heating, and decorative carving, among other applications.
Features
Low density, high recovery rate, featuring an independent bubble structure.
2. Low surface water absorption, excellent waterproofing performance.
3. Resistant to corrosion from organic solvents like acids, alkalis, salts, and oils; excellent aging resistance.
4. Flow-free at high temperatures, crack-free at low temperatures.
Protect the main structure of the building to extend its lifespan. External thermal insulation, by placing the insulation layer on the exterior of the structure, reduces the stress caused by structural deformation due to temperature changes, and minimizes the erosion of the structure by harmful substances in the air and ultraviolet radiation.
2. Effectively eliminates "thermal bridges" by replacing traditional internal insulation. Thermal bridges are inevitable, but exterior wall insulation effectively prevents their formation, thus avoiding condensation.
3. Improves the wall's damp-temperature conditions. Generally, an air barrier is required for internal thermal insulation, but the permeability of external thermal insulation materials is significantly stronger than the main structure, preventing condensation inside the wall. This raises the overall temperature of the wall structure, further enhancing its thermal insulation properties.
4. Helps maintain stable room temperature; exterior wall insulation is used, with the structure layer with high heat storage capacity on the inside of the wall, which is conducive to maintaining stable room temperature.
5. Increase the living area of the house. This can prevent damage to the insulation layer during a second renovation.
