Heat treatment specifications and metallographic structure:

Heat Treatment Specifications: 1) Annealing, slow cooling at 800-900℃ or rapid cooling at about 750℃; 2) Quenching, oil cooling at 1050-1100℃; 3) Tempering, rapid cooling at 200-300℃.

Metallographic Structure: Characterized by Martensitic morphology.

Delivery Condition: Generally, goods are delivered in heat-treated condition, with the specific type of heat treatment noted in the contract; if not specified, goods are delivered in non-heat treated condition.

Annealing

11、00Cr18Ni10N(304LN):

In the grade 00Cr19Ni11, adding "N" retains the same properties as the original grade and has the same applications as 0Cr19Ni9N, but offers superior resistance to intergranular corrosion.
12. 1Cr18Ni12 (305) vs. 0Cr19Ni9 - Work Hardening Properties. Spin forming, special drawing, cold heading applications
13. 0Cr23Ni13 (309S) offers superior corrosion and heat resistance compared to 0Cr19Ni9.
14. The 0Cr25Ni20 (310S) has better oxidation resistance than 0Cr23Ni13. It is actually used more often as a heat-resistant steel.
15. 0Cr17Ni12Mo2 (316) exhibits superior corrosion resistance in seawater and other various mediums compared to 0Cr19Ni9. It is mainly used as a material for resistance to pitting corrosion.
16. 0Cr18Ni12Mo2Ti (316Ti) is used for equipment resistant to chloride, sulfur, ant, and acetic acid, featuring excellent intergranular corrosion resistance.
17, 00Cr17Ni14Mo2 (316L) is an ultra-low carbon steel derived from 0Cr17Ni12Mo2, with better intergranular corrosion resistance than 0Cr17Ni12Mo2.
18、0Cr17Ni12Mo2N(316N):

In the grade 0Cr17Ni12Mo2, adding N enhances strength without reducing plasticity, allowing for reduced material thickness and producing components with better corrosion resistance and higher strength.
19. 00Cr17Ni13Mo2N (316LN) adds N to the composition of 00Cr17Ni14Mo2, retaining the same properties as the latter. Its applications are identical to those of 0Cr17Ni12Mo2, but it exhibits superior corrosion resistance against crystalline corrosion.
20, 0Cr18Ni12Mo2Cu2 (316JI) offers better corrosion and pitting resistance than 0Cr17Ni12Mo2. Used for corrosion-resistant materials

21. 00Cr18Ni14Mo2Cu2 (316JIL) is an ultra-low carbon steel variant of 0Cr18Ni12Mo2Cu2, offering superior intergranular corrosion resistance compared to 0Cr18Ni12Mo2Cu2.
22. 0Cr19Ni13Mo3 (317) exhibits superior resistance to pitting corrosion compared to 0Cr17Ni12Mo2. It is suitable for materials used in dyeing equipment, etc.
23. 00Cr19Ni13Mo3 (317L) is an ultra-low carbon steel with better intergranular corrosion resistance than 0Cr19Ni13Mo3.
24. Heat exchangers, vinegar equipment, machinery, bleaching units, etc., using 0Cr18Ni16Mo5 (317L) for solutions containing chloride ions, suitable for environments where 00Cr17Ni14Mo2 and 00Cr17Ni13Mo3 are not applicable.
25. 1Cr18Ni9Ti (321) for welding, magnetic instruments, equipment, corrosion-resistant container linings, and conveying pipelines for equipment and parts; adding Ti enhances intergranular corrosion resistance. Not recommended for decorative components.
26. 0Cr18Ni11Nb (347) - Increased Nb content improves intergranular corrosion resistance
27. 00Cr20Ni25Mo4.5Cu (904L) super-austenitic stainless steel, designed for harsh corrosive environments, is a low-carbon, highly alloyed austenitic stainless steel with excellent resistance to pitting corrosion.
28. 0Cr17Ni4Cu4Nb (630) is a martensitic precipitation-hardening stainless steel with the characteristic of easy strength adjustment, which can be altered by changing the heat treatment process. It exhibits strong resistance to corrosion fatigue and droplet corrosion.
29. The 17-4HP (631) is similar in performance to 630 stainless steel. It is a martensitic precipitation-hardening stainless steel with the characteristic of easy strength adjustment, which can be altered through varying heat treatment processes. It exhibits superior corrosion fatigue and drop corrosion resistance compared to 630.

400 Series - Ferritic and Martensitic Stainless Steel Grades

Model 408 – Good heat resistance, slight corrosion resistance, 11% Cr, 8% Ni.

Model 409 — An inexpensive model (in the UK and the US), commonly used for car exhaust pipes, belongs to ferritic stainless steel (chrome steel).

Model 410 - Martensitic (High-Strength Chromium Steel), good wear resistance, poor corrosion resistance.

Model 416 – Added sulfur to improve material workability.

Model 420 - "Tool Steel" Martensitic, similar to early stainless steel like Beryllium Chrome steel. Also used for surgical instruments, can be polished to a shine.

Model 430 — Ferritic stainless steel, decorative, such as for car accessories. Good formability, but lower temperature resistance and corrosion resistance.

Model 440 - High-strength tool steel with slightly higher carbon content, capable of achieving high yield strength after proper heat treatment. Its hardness can reach 58HRC, placing it in the category of hard stainless steels. Common applications include razor blades.
