Improper construction of embedded channels can pose a risk of leakage. The phenomenon and hazards of leakage include: dampness and seepage at the inner side of the outer wall at the root of the embedded channels, which can damage the decorative layer inside the wall, affecting its appearance. Causes of leakage include: loose and unstable installation of embedded channels, drilling holes for embedded components after the outer wall decoration, or collision, resulting in poor bonding of new and old mortar during plastering, and the formation of hollows and cracks. Some installations do not fill the holes for embedded components, leading to leakage. Preventive measures for leakage: The installation of embedded components (such as downspout clips, air conditioning brackets, etc.) must be done before the wall finish. Strict control of specifications, quantities, positions, elevation, and spacing is required during installation, ensuring a firm and reliable fit without any loose or displaced defects. Prior to installation, iron embedded components must be carefully rusted and anti-corrosion treated to ensure a strong bond with the finish layer. During plastering, the root of the embedded components must be carefully handled, ensuring dense compaction. It is strictly prohibited to rush the work, and avoid any collisions or vibrations to prevent the loosening of embedded components due to external forces, which could lead to cracks in the finish layer.
