Analysis of the Causes of Faults in Gas Chromatographs: On one hand, many issues with gas chromatographs arise due to a lack of maintenance, such as failing to replace consumables in a timely manner (e.g., injection pads, liners, O-rings, and gas purification devices). On the other hand, the cause is often the failure to operate the instrument according to standard procedures and requirements, such as incorrect installation lengths of the chromatographic column in the gas chromatograph.
Again, it may be caused by the operator's analysis process, such as improper sample pretreatment, unskilled manual sampling, etc.; it may also be due to laboratory environment and issues with the gas chromatograph, including poor grounding of the laboratory's electrical circuit, leaks in the piping, and damaged components.
