Analysis of Several Issues Existing in Automatic Packaging Machines
Over the past decade and a half, the automatic packaging machine industry in our country has undergone several transformations and made considerable progress. However, it has long been in a tricky situation of being small yet scattered, and large yet lacking in refinement. The core technologies of its products struggle to compete with those in developed regions.
From the current situation of domestic food packaging machinery development, there are three major issues that must be addressed. Firstly, there is a quality problem with the products. The reason why foreign packaging machinery is expensive is that the quality is good. The production technology and methods of domestic packaging machinery are lagging, and further strengthening of product quality is necessary.
Next is the insufficient scientific and innovative capability. Currently, domestic automatic packaging machinery is mainly focused on imitation, with little development or research. Even with new products being developed, they are not only in limited numbers but also have a long development cycle. Companies often prioritize production and processing, which leads to insufficient product innovation and the inability to keep up with market demands. Another phenomenon in the domestic market is a high level of homogenization, where newly designed products are often quickly imitated and quickly flooded by numerous companies onto the market. Additionally, the domestic capability for independent innovation remains relatively weak.
Furthermore, domestic automatic packaging machinery lacks advanced automation, whereas foreign counterparts have higher levels of automation with higher productivity rates. The reason for this issue lies in the relatively small scale of domestic processing and manufacturing industries. Large-capacity models require significant upfront investment, which most enterprises cannot afford due to their limited economic strength.
Currently, countries worldwide are placing great emphasis on the development of packaging machinery. High production efficiency, resource utilization, energy-saving products, the application of high-tech, and the commercialization of research achievements have become trends in the packaging machinery industry. For domestic packaging machinery enterprises, this is also a direction for development. While they may not be able to achieve large-scale operations, they should strive to ensure they are specialized and refined.
