The BZ-5 transformer rectifier converts 115V/200V 400Hz intermediate frequency AC power to 28.5V DC power, providing electricity for aircraft and starting the engine. It employs multi-pulse rectification technology. It has a continuous output current of 800A, a surge current of 2000A for at least 5 seconds, and when the current is 1600A, it remains above 23V for a duration of 60 seconds. The Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) value reaches 41,000 hours, reaching the maintenance-free level.
Design complies with GJB572-88 and GJB572A-2006 requirements.
