How to Maintain High-Frequency Switching Power Supplies Daily

1. Early on, it was not advisable to use the pre-inspection and maintenance method for switch-mode power supplies, as domestic phase-controlled power supply components tend to age easily and have low reliability. Maintenance through pre-inspection and repair does have some positive significance. 3. Installation of Dust-Proof Isolation Devices Necessary We are aware that rooms without dust-proof isolation devices tend to have higher dust concentrations. Since most switch-mode power supplies are cooled by forced air cooling, the air flow inevitably carries dust into the equipment. Given that switch-mode power supplies are not meant to be frequently disassembled and cleaned, excessive dust accumulation can lead to electrical leakage and short circuits during humid weather, causing malfunctions. Our unit experienced an automatic shutdown of a module within less than six months of operation. Upon technical inspection, it was found that the internal dust had buried the electronic components, and the confirmed cause of the malfunction was dust-induced short circuits. With the deterioration of the environment, dust pollution has become one of the main sources of contamination. A 2000A module is valued at around 70,000 to 80,000 yuan, and installing an isolation device in a power room costs approximately 8,000 yuan. Therefore, from both economic and reliability perspectives, the installation of dust-proof isolation devices is necessary, and those with the means should also consider installing air conditioning equipment.

4. Timely Implementation of Centralized Monitoring With the expansion of communication equipment, electroplating power equipment is increasing, and their distribution points are becoming more scattered. This results in a growing number of personnel needed for maintenance, creating a contradiction with downsizing and efficiency improvements. One important way to resolve this contradiction is through the implementation of centralized monitoring. The implementation of centralized monitoring can be gradually carried out based on existing conditions, without the need to strive for immediate perfection. By implementing centralized monitoring, we can achieve a reduction in personnel and increased efficiency, address the timeliness of fault handling, and also reduce the number of spare parts. This is a win-win situation and deserves to be widely promoted.
