Power Connection. Connect the regulated power supply to the main power.

Power on. With no load connected, press the main power switch (power) first, then turn on the DC output switch (output) to initiate normal output operation (some simple adjustable voltage regulators have only a main power switch, no separate DC output switch). At this point, the digital indicator on the power supply will display the current working voltage and output current. Aerospace Power

Set the output voltage. Adjust the voltage setting knob to display the target voltage on the digital voltmeter, thus completing the voltage setting. For power supplies with adjustable current limiting functionality, there are two separate adjustment systems for voltage and current limiting, such as the PMC 18-2A. Be clear when adjusting; generally, potentiometers for adjusting voltage are labeled "VOLTAGE," and those for adjusting current are labeled "CURRENT." Since the PMC 18-2A uses multi-turn potentiometers, it employs a single voltage adjustment knob. Many entry-level products use low-cost coarse/fine dual knobs for setting, so when encountering dual adjustment knobs, we first turn the fine adjustment knob to the middle position, then set the approximate voltage using the coarse adjustment knob, and finally fine-tune with the fine adjustment knob. 400HZ Power Supply

Set the current limiting. Hold down the "Limit" button on the power panel; the ammeter will then display the current limiting value. Adjust the current limiting knob to reach the desired level. Generally, current limiting can be set to 120% of the usual high current. Some power supplies do not have a dedicated current limiting adjustment key; users need to short-circuit the output terminals as per the manual and then adjust the current limiting level with the current limiting knob. Simple adjustable voltage regulators do not have a current limiting setting function and do not have corresponding knobs.

Set Overvoltage Protection (OVP). Overvoltage setting refers to further limiting an upper voltage within the adjustable voltage range of the power supply to prevent the output from exceeding a high voltage due to misoperation. Generally, overvoltage can be set to 120% of the normal operating voltage. The overvoltage setting requires a flat-head screwdriver to adjust the recessed potentiometer on the panel, which is also a design to prevent accidental adjustments. When setting the OVP voltage on the PMC 18-2A, first adjust the power supply working voltage to the target overvoltage point, then slowly adjust the OVP potentiometer until the power supply protection triggers, at which point the OVP is set. After that, turn off the power supply, lower the operating voltage, and it will operate normally. Refer to step three in the text for setting the operating voltage. Different power supplies have different OVP settings. For example, the Kikusui PAK series power supplies have a dedicated OVP set button, pressing which displays the upper limit voltage, allowing users to quickly check and adjust the voltage level. Some entry-level power supplies do not have an OVP function. Aeronautical Ground Power
