Adjust the " coarse " knob first according to the required voltage, then gradually adjust the " fine " knob to achieve proper coordination. For instance, when outputting 12V, set the " coarse " knob to the 15V position, then adjust the " fine " knob to 12V. The " coarse " knob should not be set to the 10V position. Otherwise, the output voltage will not reach 12V.
