Standard loads are designed for 50Hz or 60Hz power frequency, and cannot measure 400Hz power sources. Using frequency reduction methods to test medium-frequency power sources will increase the error in precision testing.

The AC load can simulate the aircraft's medium frequency characteristics of 115/400Hz, while the DC load can mimic a 28.5V DC attribute.
