Polyethylene Storage Tank High-density polyethylene (HDPE) rotational molded tanks exhibit excellent corrosion resistance to non-oxidizing acids.(like hydrochloric acid, dilute sulfuric acid), dilute nitric acid, alkaline and salt solutions exhibit good corrosion resistance, but are not resistant to corrosion by concentrated nitric acid, concentrated sulfuric acid, and other strong oxidizing agents. Polyethylene is abbreviated as PE in foreign languages. Its brand names abroad include Marlex, Hi-Fax, Polythene, and Alathon. The maximum application temperature is 60°C for low-density polyethylene and 70°C for high-density polyethylene. The minimum application temperature is -70°C. Polyethylene is a high molecular polymer of ethylene. Depending on the production method, the product is categorized into high-densityBoth (low-pressure) and (high-pressure) low-density versions have similar properties, but high-density polyethylene has better temperature resistance under no load and short-term conditions (100℃ for low-density is 75℃) and higher strength. Under load and high temperatures, creep occurs, and general long-term use does not exceed 65℃. Polyethylene roto-molded tanks possess excellent corrosion resistance and are suitable for non-oxidizing acids.(Hydrochloric acid, dilute sulfuric acid), dilute nitric acid, alkaline and salt solutions exhibit good corrosion resistance, but are not resistant to corrosion by concentrated nitric acid, concentrated sulfuric acid, and other strong oxidizing agents. Generally, they have good resistance to corrosion by organic solvents at room temperature, with high-density products being even better. However, some solvents can cause swelling, and under the presence of external or internal stress, some volatile liquids or vapors can lead to stress corrosion cracking. No stabilizers or reinforcing agents need to be added to the products, but when exposed to outdoor atmospheric conditions, adding carbon black (2%) can enhance resistance to ultraviolet radiation. High-density polyethylene (HDPE) rotational molding tanks are widely used plastics, with processing and forming methods similar to those of general thermoplastic materials. They are commonly used for films, thin plates, and various utensils, and are extensively employed in corrosion prevention applications.
