Utilizing high iodine value activated carbon powder, this product is formed through pressure molding with added molding adhesive and then sintered at high temperatures. The product features a cubic structure with uniformly distributed voids, ideal for gas treatment, commonly used for low-concentration gas applications. Honeycomb activated carbon, made from coal-based activated carbon, is molded using a honeycomb mold and then activated and sintered at high temperatures. Honeycomb activated carbon can be applied in various gas purification equipment and waste gas treatment projects.
Activated carbon honeycomb can be used directly or placed in purification cabinets or adsorption beds. In cases of high exhaust gas concentration and large volume, the use of two purification cabinets and adsorption beds in rotation can be adopted. During use, it is best to avoid excessive temperatures, as high temperatures will reduce the adsorption capacity; the adsorption capacity decreases with increasing temperature. Additionally, high levels of dust and oil mist should be avoided, as asphalt dust mist can clog the micropores of the activated carbon, increase resistance, and decrease adsorption efficiency. If the environment contains a significant amount of dense dust and asphalt, a pre-dust filter should be installed to achieve optimal performance and a longer service life.
Honeycomb activated carbon, after water resistance treatment and secondary firing, boasts high strength, water resistance, acid resistance, and strong alkali resistance. It is suitable for wastewater treatment, organic solvent recovery, and adsorption, and serves as a carrier for various catalysts.
