The sprayer pump is primarily a self-priming centrifugal pump equipped with an acceleration box, mainly consisting of the pump body, impeller, mechanical seal, shaft, and acceleration box. The power required for the operation of the sprayer pump is directly provided by the car engine through a power take-off unit, which transfers mechanical energy to drive the pump's rotation.

Sprinkler pumps (used in sprinkler trucks) are primarily used on sprinkler trucks to create water flow within the pipes.

Cautionary Notes

During startup, the pump should be filled with liquid to prevent damage due to dry friction of the mechanical seal.

The pump's suction port should be immersed 30cm below the liquid surface to prevent air intake. The filter screen at the suction port should also not be too dense and must not be blocked.

In normal self-priming height, if the pump has not primed within 2 minutes after startup, please immediately stop the pump operation. If there is no leakage, it is likely an issue with the pump piping.

Leakage or blockage detected? Check and confirm, take appropriate measures before operating the pump.

During the low-temperature season, if the pump is not in operation, the stored fluid inside the pump should be released through the drain valve to prevent the tank from cracking due to freezing.

Maintenance and service

The bearings and gears in the pump's speed reducer housing are lubricated by injecting gear oil. Users should first check the oil level before use, ensuring it is within the marked range. If not, add or release gear oil as needed.

2. Prior to the pump operation, check if the stored fluid in the pump is fully filled. If not, add enough fluid to the pump to prevent damage to the mechanical seal. Also, open the valves on the suction and discharge pipelines.

3. Strictly inspect the installation of the intake pipeline; leaks in the intake pipeline are permissible; otherwise, it will not be able to self-siphon.

4. Ensure the rotation direction is correct.

5. Pay attention to the readings on the pressure and vacuum gauges. After the pump starts, the readings on the pressure and vacuum gauges will fluctuate for a while before stabilizing, indicating that the pump has filled with liquid and has entered normal operation.

6. If the pump operates with intense vibration and noise, it may be due to cavitation, which is primarily caused by excessive flow rate or too high suction lift. To reduce excessive flow rate, adjust the control valve of the outlet pipe and increase the pressure gauge reading. To lower the suction lift, find ways to minimize the height of the intake.

7. Upon completion of the pump operation, first gradually close the control valve of the output pipeline, then stop the prime mover.

8. During the low-temperature season, when the pump is not in operation, the stored fluid inside the pump should be released through the drain valve to prevent the tank from freezing and cracking.

9. When pumping gasoline, which is flammable and prone to late ignition, proper static grounding of the pump and pipeline should be ensured for normal operation.

10. If a pump is to be unused for an extended period, it should be disassembled, the parts cleaned, and coated with a rust-inhibiting oil on all machining surfaces. Then, reassemble the pump for proper storage.

11. Mechanical seals do not require disassembly for inspection unless leakage occurs. When disassembling, handle with care, ensuring cleanliness and protecting the surfaces of the dynamic and static rings from collision. The primary cause of mechanical seal leakage is often surface scuffing on the dynamic and static rings. A solution involves grinding the sealing face to restore the mirror finish. Additionally, improper installation or aging of rubber sealing rings can also lead to leakage. In such cases, re-install and adjust carefully, or replace with new rubber sealing rings.
