Screw Conveyor Structure and Working Principle

1. The Transmission Department: Comprised of components such as electric motors, reducers, sprockets, headstocks, tongue plates, blind shafts, and tensioning devices, the transmission department integrates the motor and reducer into a single unit with the connecting cover. Power is transferred from the reducer to the sprocket, which drives the scraper to form a closed-loop, continuous transmission chain, thereby facilitating the transportation of coal.

2. Hydraulic Couplings: Hydraulic couplings are primarily composed of components such as the housing, impeller, and turbine wheel, which transfer power through hydraulic means, reducing start-up shock and vibration, and providing overload protection.

The reducer features a three-stage bevel-cylinder gear transmission with a power transmission of 40kw and a transmission ratio of 24.564. To ensure the normal operation of the bearings, the axial clearance of the bearings should be properly adjusted: shaft one ranges from 0.04 to 0.1; shaft two from 0.08 to 0.15; shaft three from 0.07 to 0.15; and shaft four from 0.2 to 0.4. The axial position of the arcuate bevel gears should also be adjusted appropriately to ensure reasonable mesh side clearance and contact spots. The mesh side clearance should not be less than 0.17mm, with contact spots along the length and height of the teeth accounting for at least 50%. The axial clearance of shaft one can be adjusted by turning the nut, while the axial clearances of shafts two, three, and four are adjusted using shims.

4. Sprocket: The half-roller sprocket is integrated as a unit, providing power transmission for the scraper chain.

5. Headstock Mount: The headstock mount is assembled by welding side panels, bottom plates, and other components. The sides are used to secure the reducer and blind shaft assembly, while the end connects to the transition slot.

6. Blind Shaft: The blind shaft is composed of components such as bearing seats and blind shafts, primarily serving the function of supporting sprockets.

The Tensioner: The tensioner is composed of parts such as an eccentric wheel, housing, brake belt, and braking wheel. It achieves braking by gripping the braking wheel with the brake belt and is used in conjunction with the tensioning hook to tighten the scraper chain.

8. Transition Groove: The transition groove is assembled from groove flange steel and middle plate, serving as the transitional connection device between the machine head frame and the middle groove.

9. Center Groove: The center groove is a vital component of the scraper conveyor, composed of side steel, middle plate, and assembled with connecting pins. The longitudinal connection between center grooves is achieved through the use of connecting pins.

10. Scraper Chain: The scraper chain is assembled from circular chains, scraper blades, connecting links, and bolts. The scraper material is rolled steel, with one side having a斜面 that contacts the middle groove plate, serving as a coal scraper. The protruding part of the connecting links acts as a guide.

11. Tail Section: The tail section is assembled from the tail frame and tail shaft, serving as the guiding mechanism for the scraper chain's rotation. It can also be configured with a dual-drive system, where both the head and tail are transmission units, allowing the overall laying length to be extended to 160 meters.

(Note: When using a dual-drive mode, only one electrical control unit can be shared. The driving sections at both ends must be adjusted to the same direction before starting the machine; otherwise, accidents such as breaking the scraper chain or damaging the driving section may occur.)

12. Side Plates: The scraper conveyors are generally not equipped with side plates upon shipment. Special orders can be placed if needed by the customer.
