Principles and Application Methods of Ship Anticorrosion Paint

Our marine anti-corrosion paint is designed for use under harsh conditions and boasts an extended lifespan for corrosion protection. In the atmospheric and marine environments of chemical companies, it typically lasts for 10 to 15 years, and even in acidic, alkaline, saline, and solvent mediums, under controlled temperature conditions, it can be used for over 5 years. Next, we will introduce the basic principles and management methods of using marine anti-corrosion paint.

I. The Principle of Ship Antifouling Paint:

Electrochemical action involves neutralizing harmful acidic and alkaline substances into neutral, harmless matter, thereby protecting the materials in anti-corrosion coatings from the侵害 of corrosive substances. By adding certain special substances to rust-proof coatings, water and oxygen react to generate corrosion-inhibiting ions as they pass through,钝izing the surfaces of metals like steel to prevent the dissolution of metal ions, thus achieving the anti-corrosion effect.

The Physical Principle of Marine Ship Anti-corrosion Paint: A key material in anti-corrosion coatings is the film-forming component, which makes the coating film denser, creating an invisible barrier between the coating and corrosive substances, thereby achieving anti-corrosion effects.

3. The Chemical Principle of Ship Anticorrosion Paint: This involves using chemical principles in anticorrosion coatings to prevent materials from being eroded by corrosive substances. Anticorrosion coatings are made by adding certain amounts of compounds, such as sodium oxide, aluminum hydroxide, barium hydroxide, etc. These substances readily react with strong corrosive acids and bases, neutralizing harmful substances to become harmless, thereby protecting the coating from corrosion and achieving anticorrosion effects.

Section II: The Management and Usage of Antifouling Paint for Ships

Our anti-corrosion ship paint boasts excellent performance, rapid drying, strong adhesion, and rust resistance, making it ideal for equipment with black substrate metal surfaces prone to rust on large steel bridges, towers, and vehicles, but not suitable for aluminum plates or galvanized plates. The painting process should be carried out after the structural steel installation and acceptance. Prior to painting, all anti-rust coatings, weld splashes, oil stains, dust, and other debris must be removed.

2. The ship anti-corrosion paint is suitable for surface steel structures, above the ship's waterline, and steel equipment. It can be used in conjunction with phenolic, alkyd, and other topcoats. The effective storage period is 1 year; after the expiration of the storage period, it can be inspected according to relevant regulations. If it meets the technical requirements, it can still be used.

3. Anti-fouling paint for ships should be mixed in the correct proportions before application, ensuring thorough blending. If the paint's viscosity is too high, we can add a small amount of clean water, but not exceeding 10%. It's important to add and stir continuously to maintain the paint's uniformity.
