Glass fiber reinforced plastics, commonly known as glass steel, are reinforced plastics made with glass fibers or their products, characterized by their light weight, hardness, non-conductivity, stable performance, high mechanical strength, and resistance to corrosion. In industrial production, the glass steel covers for sewage pools stand out for their superior resistance to acids and alkalis and corrosion; their ability to withstand high temperatures and flame retardancy; and their wear and aging resistance. In the same usage environment, the lifespan of glass steel arch covers for sewage pools is 10-20 times that of wooden panels and 3-5 times that of metal covers.
The glass fiber gas collection hood can direct dust and gas pollutants into the purification system, while preventing their spread to the production workshop and atmosphere, thus avoiding pollution. It boasts strong corrosion resistance, excellent physical properties, good flame-retardant performance, aging resistance, and a long service life. Additionally, the product's sealing characteristics during use effectively prevent the overflow of waste gases, contributing to the improvement of air quality and environmental protection. Its performance directly impacts the technical and economic indicators of the purification system.
Advantages
Our fiberglass gas collection hood has achieved technological innovation through the development of new curing formulas and processes. The developed features such as the movable hood cover, observation windows, maintenance openings, and sampling holes not only enhance the product's strength, corrosion resistance, and flame retardancy but also cater to the needs of extra-large span pool bodies. Additionally, these features facilitate user sampling and maintenance.
Glass fiber reinforced plastic (GFRP) is increasingly becoming the mainstream material for applications in industries such as chemical corrosion prevention and wastewater treatment due to its excellent mechanical properties, lightweight strength, good resistance to corrosion and aging, and strong design flexibility. It is currently a widely used material for covering pool bodies, boasting numerous advantages such as its lightweight and high strength, excellent corrosion resistance, and low cost. With a relative density between 1.5 to 2.0, only 1/4 to 1/5 of carbon steel, its tensile strength is close to, and even exceeds that of carbon steel, with its specific strength comparable to that of alloy steel. GFRP, or FRP, is an excellent corrosion-resistant material with good resistance to atmospheric conditions, water, and various concentrations of acids, bases, salts, as well as to a range of oils and solvents.
