Cardboard box packaging is a commonly used type of packaging box. The design must be planned according to the product's content to establish a comprehensive design direction; it cannot be arbitrary. Otherwise, such a design will neither meet consumer needs nor shape the brand culture. Next, let's discuss the advantages and disadvantages of cardboard box packaging.
The Benefits of Cardboard Box Packaging:
1. Cost-effective
Its raw material is pulp, which can be made from wood pulp (the by-products of wood) and grass pulp, and can be easily recycled (environmentally friendly).
2. Easy to process
Due to the flatness of the paper, printing is convenient.
3. Easy for storage and transportation
The collapsible nature of the paper boxes makes them highly convenient for storage and transportation, occupying less space than wooden or metal packaging, which is a unique advantage they do not possess.
4. Reasonable structure
Corrugated (U, V, UV) structures provide paper boxes with their compressive and tear resistance capabilities.
Disadvantages of Cardboard Box Packaging:
1. Limited intensity.
If not reinforced with wood or other solid materials, the contents of a cardboard box (except for honeycomb cardboard) should not exceed 55 kilograms.
2. Poor moisture resistance.
Paper boxes experience a sharp decrease in strength and may even break when they absorb moisture. This is an issue that should be addressed in design and usage. Adding a moisture-proof agent to the surface of the facial tissue (inner paper) can moderately enhance its moisture resistance, which can be done either before or after printing.
