Air jet spinning does not use spindles and primarily relies on multiple components such as the carding roller, spinning bowl, false twist device, and more. The carding roller is used to grab and comb the fibrous sliver fed in, and its high-speed rotation generates centrifugal force to throw the captured fibers out. The spinning bowl (a small metal cup) rotates at a speed 10 times faster than the carding roller, creating a centrifugal effect that expels air from the cup; according to the principle of fluid pressure, this draws cotton fibers into the air jet bowl, forming a fiber stream that continuously moves along the inner wall of the cup. At this point, there is a yarn end outside the cup, drawing out and connecting the fibers from the inner wall, and combined with the drilling effect produced by the spinning bowl rotating at high speed with the yarn tail, it is as if feeding cotton fibers while kneading and twisting the yarn, connecting the yarn to the fibers on the inner wall of the cup. Under the winding tension of the bobbin, the yarn is continuously drawn out, completing the air jet spinning process.
