Single yarn slivers refer to the phenomenon where one or several horizontal rows of loops on the fabric surface are either too large or too small compared to other horizontal rows, resulting in uneven density. In real production, single yarn slivers caused by raw materials are quite common.

Reasons for Occurrence: a. Poor yarn quality, such as color discrepancies in single fibers, including tight twisted yarns, fibers from different batches, uncolored long fibers, or mixing yarns of different counts, directly leads to the formation of horizontal stripes in the single fibers.

b. Significant discrepancies in the size of yarn cones, or irregular shapes with protruding shoulders and collapsed edges on the cakes, lead to uneven tension during unwinding and are prone to produce single filament stripes. This is due to the varying sizes of yarn cones affecting their winding points and unwinding air bubble diameters, which in turn results in considerable differences in tension release patterns. During the weaving process, when tension discrepancies reach high values, it can cause variations in yarn feed amounts, leading to inconsistent loop sizes.

When processing with porous and ultra-fine denier materials, the yarn path should be as smooth as possible. Slight roughness or oil垢 solidification in a guide hook can easily cause multiple single filaments of the material to break, resulting in color differences. Compared to processing with conventional materials, it is more demanding on equipment and more prone to produce cross stripes in the fabric.

d. Inadequate machine adjustment, excessively deep or shallow needle triangle at a certain point, causing abnormal yarn tension, resulting in variations in coil size.
