Reasons for Waviness: 1. If the fabric or knitting design is poorly designed, waviness can occur. In such cases, the design itself must be entirely altered.
2. Although the textiles were produced according to standard textile and design processes, a weft slippage issue arose during the dyeing and printing stages. This type of incident is more common in short fiber and filament fabrics, particularly in plain weave. The reason is that rope-dyed and washed fabrics are prone to weft slippage. The softer the fabric, the more easily its structure can deform.
Therefore, when using rope dyeing or similar dyeing machines, the occurrence of weft skew in plain weave is particularly pronounced, easily forming a zigzag (S-shaped) state in the fabric.
When warping occurs, resulting in defective products, the fabric's structure becomes warped, and all textiles using this fabric (dyeing, continuous dyeing, printing) will become defective as well. Particularly during the printing finishing process, the warped condition is easily noticeable.
5. The fabric used for printing resulted in a "bend" incident due to its skewed weave. The printed patterns on the fabric appear bent. The doctor blade on a round-screen printing machine or an automatic flat-screen printing machine can easily cause skewing if it sticks to the fabric that has not been straightened in the weft direction.
