Down bedding home textiles require fabrics with moisture permeability due to their inherent usage characteristics. This permeability can be achieved through the fabric's structure, such as a double-layered construction. The close-fitting inner layer is made of hydrophobic fibers, while the outer layer is hydrophilic. This allows sweat to be transferred from the skin to the inner fibers through capillary action. Due to the stronger attraction between the hydrophilic fibers on the outer layer and water molecules compared to the hydrophobic fibers on the inner layer, the water molecules are then transferred from the inner to the outer layer of the fabric, eventually evaporating.
