Full-width arched weft twist. This type of twist is characterized by the weft forming an arched or bow-like twist. It primarily occurs on the expanding roller of the bending roller. Due to the presence of small creases before the bending roller or drying cylinder, which are sometimes removed by the addition of a bending roller, it serves the purpose of expanding and crease removal. While applying moderate tension to expand and crease the fabric, the weft is stretched into an arched bow shape with a peak in the middle. The degree of the bulging arch is related to factors such as the density and thickness of the fabric, the curvature of the bending roller, and the tension the fabric experiences on the bending roller. Additionally, on silk-reeling and tensioning machines, the fabric is held by the cloth hanger as it progresses, and upon being exposed to heated air, hot dilute alkali spray, or after being washed with alkali, the fabric relaxes, causing a lag phenomenon in the middle part. Upon exiting the cloth hanger, the weft presents a concave arched twist, which is more prone to occur in thin fabrics.
