Cotton knitted fabrics shrinkage originates from three aspects: fiber shrinkage, yarn shrinkage, and fabric (loop) shrinkage, all of which are related to fabric tension. Consequently, anti-shrinkage methods and techniques can be implemented through the following four approaches:

Minimize the tensile force during wet processing of cotton knitted fabrics as much as possible.

Prior to bleaching and dyeing, the grey fabric undergoes a relaxation wet treatment to ensure the fabric shrinks and becomes denser.

c. Silk finish processing

After bleaching, dyeing, and printing, a shrink-resistant treatment with forced shrinkage is applied.
