Jet Spinning and the Characteristics of Its Products:
High spinning speed. The air-jet spinning method utilizes air twisting without high-speed rotating components (such as the wire ring in ring spinning), achieving high-speed spinning with speeds up to 120-300 meters per minute. Each unit's output is equivalent to 10-15 times that of a ring spinning spindle.
2. The production process is shorter. Jet spinning requires two fewer processes than ring spinning, such as roving and slubbing, which saves about 30% of the factory floor space. Compared to ring spinning, it takes 90 workers to process 10,000 spindles, a reduction of about 60%, and the consumption of machinery and materials is about 30% lower. Routine maintenance costs and workload are also reduced.
The product quality is excellent and distinctive. The comprehensive evaluation of jet yarn is favorable, with its yarn strength being 5-20% lower than that of ring-spun yarn, but all other quality indicators are superior. The physical properties of jet yarn, such as the evenness CV value, thick and thin places, and yarn defects, are all better than those of ring-spun yarn. Yarn with a diameter of 3mm or more has fewer hairiness than ring-spun yarn, although its yarn strength is lower, the unevenness rate of strength is lower than that of ring-spun yarn. It is suitable for weaving on new looms such as rapier and jet looms, which can increase the loom production efficiency by more than 2%.
The quality of jet spinning is similar to ring spinning, yet possesses its uniqueness. Jet yarn has a higher coefficient of friction and the yarn exhibits directional properties, as does its friction performance. It boasts superior wear resistance compared to ring spinning, but feels harder to the touch.
