Yarn difference refers to the color variation between different yarns in the dyeing process within the same dye bath. The causes of yarn difference are multifaceted.
The direct cause analysis is as follows:
(1) Variation in the quantity of distribution per tube.
In air-jet dyeing, the exchange of dye solution with the fabric is completed within the nozzle system. The frequency of this exchange is related to the fabric's cycle time, which is determined by the fabric speed and length. The fabric speed is controlled by the air volume and the speed of the cloth winder. Generally, the fabric speeds across different nozzles on the same machine are quite similar. Therefore, if there are significant differences in the lengths of the fabric across different nozzles, it will lead to considerable variations in the cycle times of the fabric's operation. This means that during the dyeing time, the number of exchanges between the fabric and the dye solution across different nozzles will be greatly varied, causing discrepancies in the dyeing tubes.
(2) Differences in fabric speed.
In air-jet dyeing, the number of exchanges between the dye solution and the fabric is determined by the dye solution circulation frequency and the fabric speed. In the dyeing process within the same vat, the circulation frequency of the dye solution in each tube is identical. Therefore, if the fabric speed varies significantly while the length of fabric in each tube is relatively consistent, it can lead to a substantial difference in the number of exchanges between the fabric and the dye solution, causing tube discrepancies.
(3)堵塞 of the dye jet nozzle.
Serious nozzle clogs can prevent dyeing from continuing, which is absolutely unacceptable: while minor clogs may not hinder the dyeing process, they can lead to dye tube discrepancies. Normally, each nozzle has a similar orifice and fluid output, but clogs can cause variations in the fluid output. When there are significant differences in the fluid output among the nozzles, dye tube discrepancies occur. The causes of clogs include thread ends, excessive long fibers, and other debris entering the nozzle and not being washed away by the dye.
(4) Leak in air jet nozzle.
Inside the nozzle system, the air jet nozzle is mounted on the nozzle seat. Once installed, there should be a good seal between the fabric inlet side of the air jet nozzle and the two-phase mixture chamber. If the seal is not tight, it will affect the atomization effect of the dye solution; secondly, the dye solution may leak into the inlet side of the air jet nozzle.
