Single yarn cross stripes refer to a phenomenon where one or more horizontal rows of loops on the surface of a fabric are larger or smaller, or unevenly spaced compared to other horizontal rows. In real production, single yarn cross stripes caused by raw materials are quite common.

Reasons for Occurrence: a. Poor yarn quality, color discrepancies in single fibers, such as tightly twisted yarn, different batch numbers of chemical fiber long fibers, uncolored long fibers, or blending of yarns with different counts, directly leading to the appearance of horizontal stripes in the single fibers.

b. Significant differences in the size of the yarn cones or the presence of bulges and sagging in the silk cakes can lead to uneven tension during unwinding, which is prone to produce cross stripes in single filaments. This is due to the varying sizes of the cones affecting their winding points and the diameter of the unwinding air circles, resulting in considerable differences in the tension relaxation patterns. During the weaving process, when tension differences reach high values, it can cause inconsistent yarn feed amounts, ultimately resulting in uneven loop sizes.

When processing with porous and ultra-fine denier materials, the yarn path should be as smooth as possible. Slight roughness or oil垢 solidification on a guide hook can easily lead to the breakage of multiple single fibers in the material, thereby causing color differences in the single fibers. Compared to processing with conventional materials, it demands stricter equipment requirements and is more prone to the formation of horizontal single fiber stripes in the finished fabric.

d. Inadequate machine adjustments, excessively deep or shallow needle pressure at a certain point, cause abnormal yarn tension, resulting in variations in coil size.
