Why Desize?
After sizing, the sizing material penetrates between the fibers, with some adhering to the surface of the warp yarns. While enhancing the yarn's performance, the sizing material contaminates the dyeing and finishing processing liquid, hindering the chemical interaction between the fibers and dye chemicals, making dyeing and finishing processing difficult.Desizing Methods for Common FabricsCotton fabrics: Common desizing methods include enzyme desizing, alkaline desizing, oxidizing agent desizing, and acid desizing.Starch-Free Fabric: Desizing is the key pre-treatment process for starch-free fabrics. As starch paste is commonly used on cotton cloth, the BF7658 starch enzyme is often employed for desizing, with the desizing process similar to that of cotton fabrics.Tencel: Pure in itself, Tencel is processed with sizing agents, mainly starch or modified starch, during weaving. The sizing can be removed using either enzyme or alkaline-oxygen one-bath methods.
