Twill weave is a complex basic weave. Its characteristic lies in the fact that each warp (or weft) thread has only one individual weave point (warp weave point or weft weave point), with a certain distance between the individual weave points on adjacent threads, which are obscured by the warp or weft floating lines on either side. This results in the fabric surface being almost entirely composed of warp or weft floating lines, giving it a smooth, even texture, good luster, and soft feel.
