To achieve yarn with certain physical and mechanical properties such as strength, elasticity, elongation, luster, and hand feel, it is necessary to twist the cotton yarn to alter its structure. This is achieved by utilizing the fiber structure to twist the yarn, essentially by creating relative angular displacement between the yarn's cross-sections, causing the originally straight, parallel fibers to tilt relative to the yarn axis, thereby altering the yarn's structure. During the twisting process, the thick yarn gradually contracts in width, folding over and wrapping into the center of the yarn, forming a twisted triangle. Within this triangle, the width and cross-section of the cotton strand change, transitioning from a flat, strip-like shape to a cylindrical yarn.
