Artificial cotton: A plain weave cotton fabric woven from viscose short fiber yarn.
Features: The fabric is clean, smooth, soft, moisture-absorbent, and breathable with excellent drape. However, it is prone to creasing, not water-resistant, and has poor shape retention. The shrinkage rate is about 10%, exceeding that of cotton. Due to the fabric's intolerance to water, it should not be soaked for long periods during washing. It should be washed immediately after soaking. A preliminary rinse with clean water is recommended to remove dirt easily and minimize damage to the clothing. Gentle rubbing with hands is sufficient, and for particularly soiled areas, a soft-bristled brush or gentle hand rubbing can be used, but never use a stiff brush or a scrub board. As the fabric is not resistant to strong alkaline substances, use laundry detergent instead of laundry soap. When removing water from the washed clothing, it should be folded and excess water should be gently squeezed out or wrapped in a towel to remove water, avoiding twisting or wringing. Since the fabric is not resistant to sunlight, it is best to dry it in the shade to avoid direct sunlight.
