Egyptian cotton is categorized into fine cotton and long-staple cotton. Generally, we refer to long-staple cotton. Egyptian cotton is produced in various regions, with the long-staple cotton from the Giza 45 region being of high quality and very scarce in quantity. The fiber length, fineness, and maturity of Egyptian long-staple cotton surpass those of Xinjiang cotton.
Egyptian long-staple cotton is commonly used to produce high-quality fabrics, primarily spun into yarns over 80 counts. The resulting fabrics have a silk-like luster due to their long fibers and good cohesion, which also ensures excellent strength. With a high moisture regain rate, they also exhibit good dyeing properties. The price typically ranges around 1000-2000.

Egyptian cotton is a symbol of high-quality cotton, ranking alongside the West Indian WISIC cotton and Indian SUVIN cotton as one of the finest cotton varieties in the world. The WISIC cotton from the West Indies and the SUVIN cotton from India are now rare, accounting for only 0.00004% of the global cotton production. Their fabrics are of royal gift quality, exorbitantly priced, and have yet to be used in bedding. Egyptian cotton has a slightly higher yield compared to the aforementioned two types, with no significant difference in fabric quality. Currently, almost all high-quality bedding on the market uses Egyptian cotton.
Regular cotton is picked by machines, followed by chemical bleaching treatments, which weaken the cotton's strength and damage its internal structure, resulting in it becoming harder to wash and with poor luster over time.
Egyptian cotton is handpicked and carded to directly discern the quality of the fibers, avoiding damage from mechanical harvesting, resulting in fine and long cotton fibers. It boasts high purity, is free of contamination, and contains no chemical additives, ensuring zero harmful substances. The cotton's structure remains intact, allowing for multiple washes without becoming rigid, maintaining its softness.
Egyptian cotton boasts fine fibers with high strength, allowing for more fibers to be spun into yarns of the same count compared to regular cotton. This results in higher yarn strength, better elasticity, and enhanced durability.
Egyptian cotton produces exceptionally fine yarns due to its silky smooth texture, evenness, and high strength. Generally, the yarn is ready to use without needing to be plied, and after undergoing a silk finish, the resulting fabric is as smooth as silk.
Egyptian cotton has a growth cycle that is 10 to 15 days longer than average, with longer daylight hours, higher maturity, longer fibers, and a soft texture, making its quality far superior to common cotton.
